Many countries across the globe have been involved in this type of activity for number years. One example is Haiti.

One Vivid Curse Factor

Haiti is the first black country in the world to be independent. However, the price of that freedom was not worth it. In early August of 1791, during the beginning of the Haitian revolution, a slave Voodoo priest, by the name of Bookman, a native of Jamaica, heard about the Toussaint louverture independence movement and in turn wanted, himself, to be heard. He arrived on the small island of Haiti with a motive and without knowledge of the true and living God. He thought he had the solution to free Haiti from the French, so he gathered all the gang leaders for a ceremony at a place called Bois Cayman. During this impromptu meeting a pig was sacrificed and the leaders, as a whole, drank its blood in exchange for security and freedom.

Haiti finally achieved its independence in 1804, however the aftermath of that ceremony caused the country to be dominated by that curse to this day!
